World No. 12 Daria Kasatkina (Russia) announced that she has obtained permanent residency in Australia through her SNS.
Kasatkina wrote, "Australia is a place I really love. It's an incredibly welcoming and completely relaxing place. I love being in Melbourne, and I'm looking forward to playing (tennis) as my base here."
"As part of that, my future professional tennis career is proud to represent my new home, Australia."
Since 2022, when Russia's invasion of Ukraine began, Russian and Russian-backed Belarusian athletes will not be allowed to use their nationality or flag on the tour, but Kasatkina will be on the tour as an Australian due to the change of nationality this time. 바카라
Kasatkina, a public critic of the invasion of Ukraine, has confessed to being gay in 2022, and for the last two and a half years or so, she has left Russia applying strict laws on the rights of LGBTQ+, a sexuality (LGBT+).
So far, there have been several cases of nationality change from Russia to Australia, and Alina Radionova and Daria Saville are active female players as Australian players.
